Jesse Johnson, M.A.Jesse earned his Masters in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology from Naropa University (Boulder, CO) in 2008. His training in Gestalt and Sensorimotor therapies helps him specialize in working with adults and adolescents needing to resolve trauma and attachment wounds. Jesse believes in client-centered empowerment through developing personal responsibility and accountability within the therapeutic relationship. His style tends towards building a client’s cognitive, emotional, and kinesthetic awareness and using the awareness of the present to help heal wounds from the past. Since moving to Portland in 2009, Jesse has worked with CCC, co-facilitating domestic violence groups and managing 20-25 individual clients from these groups. Jesse also co-facilitates a group with Allies in Change, a domestic violence treatment agency in Beaverton, and works as an assistant coach for the men’s cross country and track program at the University of Portland. He also runs a private practice in NE Portland, specializing in personal development for men. Phone: 503.504.0941 E-mail:jessej@cedarcounsel.com |
